Bernice Chipman, 91, of Kuttawa, died Saturday, July 6, 2019, at Christian Care Center in Kuttawa.
A daughter of the late Luther Sanders Sr. and Georgea Lou Smith Sanders, she was a member of Blue Springs Baptist Church and was a homemaker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Franklin Chipman; a sister, Demetria Grimes; and a brother, Luther Sanders Jr.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Rev. Don Short of Gilbertsville; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmie and Brenda Chipman of Kuttawa; six grandchildren, Tammy Herrmann and husband Sean, Teri Ladd and husband Keith, Shannon Goodman and husband Jonathan, Renee Stone and husband David, Jeremy Short and wife Kim, and Tim Short and wife Bethany; 11 great-grandchildren, Katie Ladd, Luke Ladd, Justin Crawford, Abbi Crawford, Anna Crawford, Jackson Crawford, Dustin Stone, Faith Stone, Laney Hoskins, Zoe Short, and Noah Short; a sister, Betty Newman and husband Charles “Buster” of Ripley, Tenn.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, July 9, at 3 p.m. at Lakeland Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Eddyville, with the Rev. Patrick Yates officiating.
Burial followed in Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.
