Carolyn Wynn, 82, of Eddyville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 24, 2021, at her home. Born Aug. 24, 1938, in Caldwell County, she was the daughter of the late Eurie and Frances King Oliver. Carolyn worked for 20 years at Trigg Knit Hosiery Mill and later for Shawnee Plastics in Kuttawa and Ethridge Plastics in Cadiz. In her time outside of work, she enjoyed fishing with her late husband, Arnold, and spending time with her family, who lovingly knew her as “Granny.” She was a longtime member of Lamasco Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold Wynn; a daughter, Barbara Stewart; and two sisters, June Willis and Linda Keel.
She is survived by a son, Jeff (Debbie) Wynn of Gallatin, Tenn.; two grandchildren of the home, Sherrie Hale of Princeton and Stephanie Stewart (Bubba) of Eddyville; three other grandchildren, Kara Wynn (Brandon Dew), Abby Wynn (Jared Coffey), and Taylor Wynn; and seven great-grandchildren, Kelsey Ferrell, Allen (Kaylynne) Stewart, Caleb Stovall, Allison Cooper, Austin Cooper, Ayden Dew, and Ellie Dew.
Arrangements were handled by Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc., 138 Main St. in Cadiz, where the family received friends beginning at 4 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 25, 2021. Funeral services was held at Goodwin Funeral Home, Inc. at 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 26, 2021 with Rev. Dean Ray officiating. Burial followed at Caldwell Blue Spring Baptist Church Cemetery in Caldwell County.
