David Gerald Watkins, 70, entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, February 9, 2021, at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton.

He was retired from Bremner Food Group. He was a member of Shepherd Street Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother and step-father, Sarah and Gayle Lee Copeland; father and step-mother, James and Hattie Watkins; and one great-niece.

David leaves his memories to be cherished by his wife of 45 years, Christine Watkins; two daughters, Lisa Moore and Ladonna Watkins; one son, David M. Watkins; seven sisters, Anita Watkins, Jean Radford, Vickie Bumphus, Cynthia Bumphus, Teresa Copeland, Mary Vance, and Bernetta Watkins; two brothers, James Watkins and Gayle Copeland, Jr; one aunt; two uncles; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.

Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

A funeral service will follow at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Rev. James Brasher officiating and assisted by Rev. Tammy Acree and Rev. Kimberly Traylor.
