Delores Darnell, 88, of Princeton, died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2019, at Princeton Health and Rehab.
A daughter of the late William Everett and Mary Bertha Pool Cunningham, she was a retired school teacher, having taught in the Caldwell County and Hopkins County school systems. She had been a bus driver for the Caldwell County school system, a traffic officer in the City of Princeton, an operator for AT&T and a retail clerk at JCPenney company. She was a member of Faith Apostolic Church in Princeton.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Garland “Runt” Darnell; a grandson, Maxwell Connor Darnell; and a sister, Lee Ellen Ray.
Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law, Jerry and Bonnie Darnell and Ronnie and Ladonna Darnell, all of Caldwell County; David and Sherrie Darnell of Madisonville, and Kent and Suzanne Darnell of Princeton; six grandchildren, Tara Kallsrom, Tonya McGowan, Alison Clayton, Lori Lovvorn, Will Darnell and Clayton Darnell; six great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Aug. 10, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton, with the Rev. Robert Allen officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the service time Saturday, Aug. 10, at the funeral home.
