Dixie Ray Perry, 91, of Princeton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2021, at Caldwell Medical Center in Princeton. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church and enjoyed cooking, gardening, sewing, working in her yard, and making cream candy. She babysat many children and know to some as Granny Dixie. She was a loving mother and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Jeri Hooks (Paul) of Princeton and Melissa Nichols of Princeton; and three grandchildren, Jessica Scott (Dave) of Lancaster, Perry Hooks of Lexington, and Mackenzie Nichols of Bowling Green; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James William “Pooch” Perry, her parents, Cordie Dick Ray and Goldie Thompson Ray; three sisters, Sarah Grace Ray, Lou Ellen Ray Teasley, and Elizabeth Ray Knoth; and five brothers, James Thomas Ray Alfred Russel Ray, Reginlad Byron Ray, Donald Elwood Ray, and Rupert Gerald Ray.

There will be no services at this time. Morgans Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
