Dorothy June Parker, 89, of Caldwell County, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2021, at River’s Bend Retirement Center in Kuttawa.
She was a homemaker and a member of Donaldson Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed flowers and nature.
She is survived by her son, Frank Morse & wife, Rose of Caldwell County; one stepdaughter, Gwen Evelyn Mitchell of Seville, Florida; three grandchildren, Bethany (Mike) Davis, Wade (Kate) Morse, Matt (Katherine) Morse; and one step-grandson, Ronald Dean Mitchell, Jr. of Florida; eight great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mildred Shumaker and Jayne Hillyard of Caldwell County; two brothers, Glen Keel of Caldwell County and Larry Keel of Evansville, Indiana; numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wade Hampton Morse, Jr., her second husband, Ishmael Parker; her parents, Lacy and Lottie Patterson Keel; a sister, Joyce Tandy, and a brother, David Keel.
Visitation for Mrs. Parker will be held from noon — 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, 2021, at Morgan’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Morgan’s Funeral Home with Matt Morse and Mike Davis officiating with burial to follow in Meeks Cemetery in Caldwell County.
