James “Jim” Edward Blackburn, 81, of Princeton, died Sunday, Sept. 1, 2019, at Caldwell Medical Center.
A son of the late Wallace Eugene and Mary Beatrice Dunbar Blackburn, he was a retired truck driver.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jo Ann Patterson Blackburn; and a sister, Brenda Peters.
Survivors include two sons, James Eugene Blackbur and Royce Wkuam Blackburn, both of St. Louis, MO; stepdaughter, Debra Ann Croft and husband, Robert Kenneth of Princeton; foster-stepdaughter, Dawnese Ward of Springfield, MO.; six grandchildren, Brent Blackburn, Miranda Blackburn, Chris Blackburn, Alex Blackburn, Ashley Blackburn; six great-grandchildren, Cameron Puder, Kolten Duvel, Owen Blackburn, Addison Blackburn, Lilly Blackburn, Levi Blackburn and Maya Blackburn; a stepgrandchild, Shanna Sherrill; two stepgreat-grandchildren, Cole Sherrill and Emily Sherrill; three foster-stepgrandchildren; and two foster-stepgreat-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Joyce Gartner and husband James of St. Louis, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Sept. 7, at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton.
Burial will follow in Rock Springs Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to the service time Saturday, Sept. 7, at the funeral home.
