Janet H. “Judy” Winn, 85, of Marion, formerly of Princeton, died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2020, at Princeton Health and Rehabilitation Center.

A daughter of the late Basil and Beulah P’Poole Haile, she was a member of Marion Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher. She was formerly the owner of Marion Machine Works, former president of the Marion Woman’s Club and member of Fohs Hall Inc. She was a Butler High School graduate and a Western Kentucky University business school graduate. She was former director of the Crittenden County Chamber of Commerce, former director of the Living Christmas Tree musical production at Fohs Hall and the 2011 Grand Marshal of the Marion Christmas parade.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George E. Winn; a sister, Joyce Hawkins Sutherland; and a brother, Zane Basil Haile.

Survivors include two sisters-in-law, Mariam Haile of Bonita Springs, Fla., and Glenda Donaho of Frankfort; five nieces, Carol Ann Smith, Linda Ellison, Vivian Thomas of Princeton, Wendy Davis and Gaye Winn Adcock; a nephew, Kent Sturgeon; a great-niece and several great-nephews.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 2 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion.

Burial followed in Mapleview Cemetery.

Visitation was from noon to the service time Wedneday, Jan. 8, at the funeral home.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in the form of donations to the Marion Woman’s Club or the Parkinsons Association.
