Jerry Wayne Wilson, 72, of Princeton, died Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville.
Born July 14, 1947, Jerry was the son of the late J.C. and Tyline Wilson, formerly of Princeton.
A 1965 graduate of Caldwell County High School, he received a B.S. degree in Commerce, major in Accounting, from the University of Kentucky in 1969 and became a Certified Public Accountant in 1971.
His professional career began in 1969 and included positions as Senior Auditor with Ernst & Ernst CPAs, Louisville; Treasurer of General Management Association, Lexington; Partner in Clines & Wilson, PSC, Lexington; Partner in Richardson, Howe & Wilson, Murray; contract financial analyst with the Kentucky Department of Insurance; Manager of Fuel Accounting and Taxes for Duke & Long Distributing Company, Paducah; and as a self-employed CPA in Paducah and Princeton.
He is survived by two daughters and a son, Amy Seltsam (Patrick) of Beavercreek, Ohio; Beth Wilson of Smyrna, Georgia; and Jon Wilson of Columbia, South Carolina. Other survivors include three grandchildren Jack, Ryan, and Anna Cate Seltsam; and his sister, Janice (Roy) Stevens of Frankfort.
A memorial service was held at the Masonic Home of Shelbyville, after which Harrod Brothers Funeral Home handled cremation services. No other services are planned.
