JoAnn McLeod, 87, of Murray, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 2020, at 7:52 p.m. at Baptist Health in Paducah.

Born April 4, 1952, in Lyon County, she was a daughter of the late George Holsapple and Oatie Winters Holsapple. She worked as a production operator at Fisher Price and also as a door greeter for 18 years at Walmart in Murray. She was a member of Dexter-Hardin Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Cecil McLeod; a son, Edward Eugene McLeod; two sisters, Enola Pritchett and EdnaJane Holsapple; and four brothers, George Holsapple, Dickie Holsapple, Marvin Holsapple and Billy Holsapple.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Glenda “PeeWee” and Mickey Elkns of Almo; a sister-in-law, Ludell Brindley; and a brother-in-law, George McLeod.

A celebration of life service was held Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. at Filbeck-Cann Funeral Home (Milner & Orr) in Benton, with the Rev. Richard Burkeen and the Rev. Jim Stahler officiating.

Visitation was from 1 p.m. to the service time Sunday, Jan. 12, at the funeral home.
