John Wayne Yandell, 74, of Princeton, died Sunday, Sept. 8, 2019, at his home.
A son of the late John and Beulah Croft Yandell, he built the cable system in Princeton starting in 1965, which he later managed. He was a member of Second Baptist Church in Princeton, was a deputy sheriff and a volunteer fire fighter.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Martha Jean Yandell; and a brother, Jack Yandell.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Margaret yvonne Cochran Yandell; three daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Buddy Pool , Melissa and Conrad Pressley and Michelle and Bill Flood, all of Princeton; five grandchildren, LeAnne Orange and husband Bobby, Taylor Swaner and husband Darren, Amber Flood and Evan, Ashley Lamkin and husband Garrett and Amy Pressley; two great-grandchildren, Riley Flood and Marley Orange; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Sept. 10, at Morgan’s Funeral Home in Princeton, with Bro. John Hagen officiating.
Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 10, at the funeral home.
