Norman Ray Hinchee, of Marion, 89, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at the Crittenden Community Hospital.
Born Jan. 4, 1931, he was a son of the late Charlie and Rosa Hinchee. He was a United States Navy veteran and a UMWA coal mining mechanic.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Charles Hinchee; a sister, Lorene Henderson; a grandson, Wesley James; and an infant great-grandson, Sebastian James.
Survivors include his wife of 34 years, Shirley Hinchee; a son and daughter-in-law, Rocky and Teresa Hinchee of Marion; three stepsons, Jeff Holloman of Orlando, Fla., Greg Hollamon and wife Dawn of Henderson, Tenn., and Brian Hollamon and wife Tracy of Wauconda, Ill.; two grandsons, Phillip Hinchee and wife Bianca of Fredonia, and Scott James and wife Sarah of Morton Grove; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; a sister, Muriel Humphrey of Marion; and a brother, Bill Hinchee and wife Loretta of Marion.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m. at Gilbert Funeral Home in Marion.
Burial will follow in Crowell Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to the service time Friday, Jan. 31, at the funeral home.
