PRINCETON — Rella Pettit Dees, 82, died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2021, at Baptist Health Paducah.

She was born on August 23, 1939, in Princeton to the late Duke Coleman and Lois Edwards Pettit.

Rella was retired from at Chase Bank in Plainfield, Indiana. She was an avid reader and enjoyed researching history and genealogy. Rella loved to travel and was a food connoisseur. Above all, Rella loved her children and grandchildren and was very proud of them. Rella was a member of Ogden United Methodist Church in Princeton.

She is survived by three daughters, Lori Ladd (Blaine) Willenborg of Miami Shores, Florida, Gail Ladd (Fred) P’Pool of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, and Mary Dees (Mick) Tomlin of Noblesville, Indiana; one sister, Nelle Pettit (Jeff) Smith of Charroux, France; nine grandchildren, Blair (Tim) Bringardner, Mallory (Nick) Hayes, Blaine A. Willenborg, Tyler (Anne Marie) Martin, Trevor (Amanda) Martin, Austin (Lindsay) P’Pool, Ashley P’Pool (Mitch) Glenn, Abigail (Andrew) Beckman and Katherine Tomlin; eight great-grandchildren, Blaine Bringardner, Audrey Hayes, Mary Claire Martin, Ellie Martin, Madeline Martin, Wyatt Gibbs, Rue Glenn and Beck Glenn.

In addition to her parents, Rella is preceded in death by her husband, James Texaco Dees.

Memorial services will be private.
