Riley Flood, 7, of Princeton, died Monday, Jan. 27, 2020, at Monroe Carrell Jr., Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, Tenn.
He was a son of Amber Flood of Princeton, and Stepfather-to-be, Evan Gray of Princeton. He was in the second grade at Caldwell County Primary School and a team mate of the Red Sox baseball team and the Caldwell Gold All Star team. He loved the Lord and was independent, funny and caring and put others first. He loved helping others, and did just that by giving the greatest gift of life by being an organ donor.
He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, John Yandell, Fred Flood and Shirley Flood; and a great-uncle, Chris Flood.
Survivors include his mother, Amber Flood of Princeton; stepfather to be, Evan Gray of Princeton; a brother on the way, Karson Gray; grandparents, Michelle Flood and Bill Flood of Princeton; stepgrandparents to be, James Gray of Hopkinsville and Lori Grob of Carbondale, Ill.; great-grandmother, Yvonne Yandell of Princeton; great-great-grandmother, Juanita Hunsaker of Princeton; an aunt, Ashley Lamkin and husband Garrett of Princeton; and an uncle to be, Eric Gray of Louisville.
Funeral services wil be held Friday, Jan. 31, at 1 p.m., with Bro. Jimmy Fuller officiating, assisted by Bro. John Hagan and Bro. Patrick Yates.
Burial will follow in Blue Spring Cemetery in Caldwell County.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30, at the funeral home.
