Robbie Mitchell, 81, of Princeton, went home to be with her Lord on Monday, Sept. 6, 2021, at Baptist East Louisville.

Robbie was born on Oct. 16, 1939, in Dawson Springs, to the late George Everett and Annie Russell Dillingham. Robbie lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed going to poetry club and her class of 57 meetings. Robbie loved to play cards and always managed to throw a new “rule” in. She loved to play “words with friends, read, and go fishing. Nothing brought her greater joy though, than her family and friends and whether you called her mom, gawgaw, grandma, Ms. Robbie, or Aunt Robbie, to know her was to love her. Robbie loved her Lord and savior and was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Princeton.

Robbie is survived by two sons, Mark (Michelle) Mitchell of Louisville, Phillip Mitchell of Princeton; three grandchildren, Matt (Katherine) Mitchell of Louisville, Megan (Reggie) Vaughn of Louisville, Chase (Nicole) Mitchell of Princeton; five great-grandchildren, Reggie Vaughn, Sawyer Grace Vaughn, Brinley Wurts, and two more on the way; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Robbie is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Mitchell; two sisters, Sue Dycus and Pauline West, one brother, Jim Dillingham.

Visitation for Robbie Mitchell will be held from 11 a.m. — 1 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 9, 2021, at Morgan’s Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. at Morgan’s Funeral Home with David Scott, John Benton and Ronnie Sivells officiating. Burial will follow in Morse Cemetery in Caldwell County.
