William Ralph Clift, 82, of Princeton, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 5, 2021, at his home.

He was born on October 1, 1938, in Caldwell County to his late parents, Clifton Clift, Sr., and Margaret Stewart Clift. William was a self-employed farmer and served as a Past-President of Caldwell County Farm Bureau.

He was an active member of Crider Baptist Church where he served as

a deacon and church clerk for many years. William graduated from Fredonia High School.

William is survived by his wife of 61 years, Judy Bennett Clift; daughter, Sandy Haberlock of Princeton; son, Bill (Renee) Clift of Princeton; three grandchildren, Stewart (Meredith) Haberlock, Cody Clift, Camryn Clift; great-grandchild, Wesley Haberlock.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clifton Clift, Jr.; son-in-law, Rob Haberlock.

Due to COVID-19, there will be a graveside service only.

Graveside service will be held in Bethlehem Cemetery in Caldwell County (Crider) at 2 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 10, 2021, with Justin Ramey officiating.
