The Caldwell County Middle School football team (coached by Steve Kukahiko) hoists the trophy after winning the 139 Bowl against Trigg County a few weeks back.

The Caldwell County Middle School Tiger teams are making waves consistently; most recently with a 38-6 win from the eighth-grade team over McCracken County and a 32-12 win by the seventh-grade team back on Sept. 12.

Last week against Graves County, the eighth-grade Tiger team was winning handily until an injury to Jaxon Towery ended the game.

The Tigers also beat Trigg County in the annual 139 Bowl in Princeton on Aug. 29 (eighth-grade winning 32-0 and seventh-grade winning 12-0).

Both Tiger teams are currently 6-0, not including last Thursday's inconclusive games with Graves County.

The eighth-grade Tigers also vanquished Christian County 26-6 on Sept. 5 (seventh-grade winning 20-0).

The Tigers will play at Paducah Tilghman this Thursday, Sept. 26 starting at 5:30 p.m. before heading to Crittenden County next Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. (on Oct. 1).

The last game of the season (a makeup game with Marshall County from Aug. 20) is scheduled at home in Princeton at Tiger Stadium on Thursday, Oct. 3.

"These kids have accomplished a lot already this year, and i don't think they're done yet," head coach Steve Kukahiko said.
